"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

House of Hope, a ministry to the prostitutes on the streets of Nicaragua, was founded by Mike and April Havlin in 2004. Prostitution is the sole means of supporting a family for many of these women. Most of them have been left with several children, abused and mistreated. House of Hope provides the message of Salvation and God's great love for each of them, holds Bible studies for them, and endeavors to teach them a new trade as a means of feeding and clothing their families. The ladies have a greeting card business. They make the cards by hand, individually, and then sell them in Nicaragua and the United States for income. | |
