Harvest is committed to reaching our region with the Good News of Jesus Christ. By conducting various outreaches into the community on a regular basis, as well as short-term mission trips, we are seeking new and creative methods of practical application in sharing the love of Jesus Christ.
Handicap Van Ministry
Harvest currently runs a handicap van ministry to local nursing homes and other structured living facilities where those in wheel chairs or minimally handicapped can attend services. A limited amount of training is needed to serve in this ministry and operates in teams on a 5-week rotation.
Passenger Van Ministry
Harvest has the capability to run a passenger van ministry to provide transportation for people who cannot get to services on their own. If you have a heart to participate in either of these ministries, please contact Pastor Brian at 833-4898.
Prison Ministry
The first Sunday of each month, Harvest takes a team to Hyde County Correctional Facility, located 8 miles north of Swan Quarter. The team ministers in praise and worship; special music; testimonies; preaching; and praying for the inmates and the concerns of their hearts. Each month we hear testimonies of how God helps them walk with Him in the midst of difficult situations.
To participate in the prison ministry, you must obtain a volunteer card from the state prison system. A state orientation is mandatory before receiving the card. Contact Brian Garrett about becoming a certified volunteer.
Nursing Homes
From time to time, Harvest visits area nursing homes to minister to the residents in word and song.
If you are interested in either of these ministries, contact Pastor Brian at 833-4898.
