Pastors Tad and Treva Tankard

Tad Tankard, D. Min. has served as Senior Pastor of Harvest since 1998.  He and his wife, Treva were founding members when Harvest began in 1978.

With a BS in History, four years as an officer in the Marine Corps, and finally, 20 years as a farmer, God has now transferred Tad from the natural fields into the spiritual arena of sowing and reaping.

Tad has received his Masters of Theology, Masters of Divinity and Doctorate of Ministry from Christian Life School of Theology.

Pastor Tad's heart is to live out Jesus' commandment to be an ambassador of the Good News of Jesus Christ, training and equipping the body for God's service and preparation of the Bride of Christ for these last days. He knows that by using all the resources and giftings that God has made available to us, we can reach the people of our community and beyond.

Treva Tankard is Music Pastor of Harvest in Washington, North Carolina, where her husband Tad is senior pastor.

God has beautifully orchestrated the affairs of her life, bringing forth the gifting of a psalmist and worship leader in the body of Christ.  She has had the opportunity to minister in conferences and workshops in several states and internationally as well.

Treva has written over 200 songs and is the owner of Harp & Lyre Music.  She has recorded several praise and worship albums and most recently, along with her daughter, Tara, released a worship CD, Here with You.  Treva’s desire is to sow into others and give out of a heart of worship to God and the world.

Pastors Brian and Tara Garrett

Brian and Tara lived and worked in the inner city of Orlando, Florida where they joined with Pastors Bill and Donna Byrd in Orlando Invasion Church. They held Children's Church in apartment complexes and worked with the homeless throughout the city.  They have traveled to Russia, Romania, Nicaragua and other areas to minister to children and adults.

Brian and Tara moved to North Carolina for two years, until God called them to be a part of Word Alive International Outreach in Alabama.  After working there for three years, they answered the call to come back to North Carolina and come along side the family at Harvest in working toward the vision of reaching our community with the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
